Luang Prabang is the jewel of Indochina and a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1995. The ancient royal city is surrounded by mountains at the junction of the Mekong River and its tributary, the Khan river. In the center of the city is Mount Phousi with stunning views of the surrounding temples and hills. Luang Prabang is a city where time seems to stand still. As part of the UNESCO plan, new buildings have been limited and development must be in keeping with this magical place.

ACCOMMODATION

Luang Prabang is small, and just about everywhere can be reached by foot. Walking and travelling by bicycle is the best way to see this tiny city. The Resort offers guests five beautifully styled Bungalows with a large terrace and an approximate size of 45 square meters space. The bungalows are built in a traditional style by local craftsmen and artists. Materials of wood and stone and an interior of antique furniture give each bungalow an unique atmosphere. Deliberately, appliances like aircon, telephones and TV which may disturb the laid back atmosphere of the resort have been avoided. The antique interiors provide comfort and wellbeing. Bathrooms with tubs and magnificent views, open air shower and a big terrace facing the river offer peace and relaxation to the guest. All bungalows are equipped with high quality rosewood floors. Rosewood from old houses has also been used for the balcony and the framework. We offer Bungalows with two seperate beds (twin-bed) or with double-bed queen- and kingsize. For all beds you will find a luxurious mosquito net.

RESTAURANT

The Lao Spirit Restaurant is situated on the banks of Nam Khan River. From the terrace you have a amazing view of the surrounding hills and mountains. Observe the fishermen and the farming just opposite. You will enjoy your breakfast, lunch and dinner in a natural, relaxing atmosphere. Our restaurant team will offer you a selection of delicious European, Asian and fusion dishes. All meals are prepared with high quality and fresh ingredients bought at the local markets or from the villages nearby. We try to support the farmers of the Xieng Lom region. Enjoy your time!

ACTIVITIES AND MASSAGE

There is an offer you a selection of activities and elephant riding starting from the Lao Spirit Resort. All activity can be combined, as much as possible, on an individual basis together with your accommodation at the Lao Spirit Resort. Every activity start and end at the Lao Spirit Resort and will be arranged individually according to the number of guests booked; no joined group - except for the elephant riding which is co-organized with the camp in the neighbourhood

ACTIVITIES

Ride on the boat to Waterfall Tad Sae

You can start any time between 8:30 - 14:00 h. The way to the waterfall last about 20 minutes. At the waterfall is possible take a bath or walking around. Maximum time to stay is 1,5 hour. From February to June is waterfall dried up. Entry 2 USD is not included in the price

Walking tour to Hue Fei and waterfall Tad Sae

The way starts between 8.00 - 9.00 h. in the morning. Ferry across the river Nam Khan, walking to the village Ban Hue Fei and then we continue to the waterfall Tad Sae. Bath and walking by the waterfall, return to the hotel with power boat. Duration of this is 4 - 5 hours.

Whole day trekking

Start is between 8.00 - 9.00 h., transfer across the river Nam Khan. Walking to the village Ban Hue Nok and then to Longkootu. Back do Ban Hue Nok and return to Lao Spirit Resort late in the afternoon. Duration of this trip is 5 - 7 hours.

Price does include: packed lunch, bottle of water, English-speaking guide, local tax included.

Kayaking around Nam Khan River

1. Ferry transfer from the hotel to Huyang or Shengen. From here kayaking to the waterfall Tad Sae and back to the hotel. Duration of the trip is 3,5 - 5,5 hours.

2. Kayaking to the town Luang Prabang. On the way stop for a lunch in Ban Noon. Duration is 3,5 - 5,5 hours – the exact time spent on this tour depends on fatigue and pace of participants.

Combination of trekking and kayaking

Begining is at 9.00 h. With ferry across the river, walking tour to Ban Hue Fei. Then trekking across fields, forests and nice outside landscape to the village Ban Suan, situated on the coast of the river Nam Khan. Duration of this activity is 3,5 - 4 hours. Back by kayak, stop near the waterfall Tad Sae. Duration about 6 - 7 hours.

Elephant riding

After breakfast, around 8.30 h. goes the way from the resort to the village of the elephants, which takes about 15 minutes. Riding starts in the village and continues to the river Nam Khan and to the forest Ban Sieng. After 30 minutes back to the village.

Elephant riding with trekking to the waterfall Tad Sae

After breakfast, around 8.30 h. drive from the property to the village of elephants. After return we transfer across the river and then walking tour to Ban Hue Fei, when we continue to the waterfall Tad Sae. We go back by boat than.
